Protecting the condition and quality of color treated hair has become
a cinch. The quality of hair color has improved tenfold
over the past few years, and improvements continue to be made on a monthly
basis. New non ammonia colorants that actually cover gray, and new permanent
colorants with levels as low as one percent ammonia. It is truly a new
millennium in hair color.
Condition? Yes, I said condition!
Thick coarse hair needs moisturizing conditioner, agreed?
Well, fine hair also needs what its lacking, PROTEIN. A good protein
conditioner after each shampoo will go a long way in your quest toward
full, luxurious locks.
A great hair design.
The most efficient way of moving from limp to lively is
a hair design that promotes fulness and body. Length is always determined
by facial shape and stature of the client. Having said that, shorter
length on fine hair is in many cases the best method of providing fullness
and giving the illusion of actually having thick hair...NO KIDDING!
Products anyone?
Texture and volume gels, volume shampoos and conditioners,
pliable molding creams, these are all products that can and will make
a remarkable difference in your styling results.
“...but I can’t
do what my hairdresser did!” YES
YOU CAN!
A styling lesson from your hair designer should explain
actually where, how much, and what type of products are to used, and actually
how they are applied. The styling lesson should also include step by step
instruction on how the design can be duplicated at home. After all, it’s
not what you look like leaving the salon, but what you look like one or
two weeks after. The old saying is still very true in our business “if
you don’t look good, we don’t look good.”
